Preparation Method

Prepare the Batter

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the corn flour, all-purpose flour, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, black pepper powder, and salt.
  2. Gradually add water and whisk until you get a smooth, medium-thick batter similar to pakora (fritter) batter.

Coat the Paneer

  1. In a separate plate, mix the breadcrumbs with oregano or mixed herbs.
  2. Dip each paneer cube into the prepared batter.
  3. Roll it in the breadcrumb mixture until evenly coated on all sides.

Fry the Paneer Popcorn

  1. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  2. Carefully add the coated paneer cubes.
  3. Fry until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  4. Remove using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve hot with your favorite dip.
